Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia casinos that lie just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, where gambling hall gaming is prohibited. Eight gambling halls are anchored in a relatively small space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. The first Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving just one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary barge casino, contains 150 slot machine games and sixty tables. The Naga river boat is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of 21, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The first gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slots and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and sixty six of the normal table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around vacation and hotel building that highlights numerous amenities accompanying the casino, which provides ten thousand square feet of 130 slot machine games and eighty eight gaming tables.
