Cambodia Gambling Halls
December 21st, 2016 at 23:25There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling dens that sit just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling den gaming is not legal. Eight casinos are established in a generally small space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in a perfect area, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The amazing income accrued from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of restrictions requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mainly Thai; however, financial sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 17:00, and although visas are allegedly necessary to cross, there are methods around this, as is real of many border crossings.
The initial Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored barge gambling hall, features 150 slot machines and sixty table games. The Naga gambling den never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of 21, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are one hundred and fifty slots and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slots and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and sixty six of the normal tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around vacation and hotel compound that highlights a number of amenities on top of the casino, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and 88 gaming tables.
