There is an appealing history to the Cambodia casinos that lie just across the border from neighboring Thailand, where gambling den wagering is against the law. Eight gambling dens are established in a relatively small space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and sixty six of the normal table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel compound that contains many amenities on top of the gambling hall, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machine games and eighty eight tables.
